ERC Round Two

Unfortunately Per Eklund didn’t get to make the A-final in Portugal on the weekend. He finished the weekend in 7th place overall, having gained second place in the B-final. His two consistent finishes in the two events held so far mean that he has now accumulated 18 points in the European Rallycross Chamionship, good enough for a share of fifth position in the Championship.

Whilst it’s not quite where everyone here at Trollhattan would like to see the Saab finishing, it’s encouraging that the new car is making it through these initial events OK and that Per is maintaining a consistent pace. With 18 chamionship points in the bank, he’s only 5 points of 4th place and 13 points away from 2nd. I’m sure we can look forward to some higher placings in the rounds to come as the Trollspeed guys get a better grip on the performance and handling of the car.
