Per’s progress

It’s been a little while since we last checked in on Per Eklund and his 9-3 Sport Sedan. Per’s competing in the European Rallycross Championship. It’s a new car this year and whilst there were still some bugs in the new setup earlier in the season, the results have been getting better as the season progresses.

In case you don’t remember, Per came 9th in the opening round (Essay, Fr), 7th in the second round (Portugal), 6th in a round of the Swedish Chamionship (Arkiva), then 7th again in the 3rd round of the European Championship, held in Austria.

Well, last week, the improvement continued with Per coming in 5th position in the European Championship, round 4, held in Sosnova, Czech Republic.

Per is now placed 7th in the Chamionship race after 4 events. He has 40 championship points. The leader is Kenneth Hansen from Sweden, driving a Citroen, with 67 points.

Also, if you’re nearby, Trollspeed will be having an open house at their new workshop this weekend.

Trollspeed look after Per’s tuning and engine building and apparently Per is scheduled to show up with the 9-3 Aero SS that he’s racing this year.

The new premises are located at Factorsgarten 5 in Trollhattan (I assume the locals will know what that means) and the open-house is from 10am to 6pm.

What I wouldn’t give for a look over that place!!
