Suuby B9 vs Saab 95

I was kind of fascinated when I read this one….from the Boston Globe (I think)

Q: Did you notice that the Subaru B9 Tribeca SUV that you recently reviewed looks a lot like the Saab 95 station wagon of the late ’50s and early ’60s?

A: You and a whole posse of other readers noted that, and you are right. Being a former Saab fanatic (1970s and ’80s) I should have picked up on those design cues.

  1. I still think that the B9 looks like an evil zombie Alfa. The center grille is in the Alfa position, shape and proportion, the horizonal grille slits curve upward into a faint smile and the headlamps are two eyes with a perfectly evil tilt. Evil zombie Alfa!!
