Ah, the hard work seems to have paid off.

I’ve been in the back rooms of this weblog for the past week updating all the templates and you should be seeing the results now. A somewhat cleaner look, I hope, and more importantly, cohesive code that should stop some of the error pages appearing.

The site looks like it should on my machine. If you encounter any particular difficulties, please let me know in comments.

  1. The top of the page has a ton of white requiring about 2 pages of scroll down before text/photos appears. I have 800×600 16bit colour screen.
New templates look great. Favorite Saab site, made it my home page even. Start surfing on the right/fun stuff.
    Keep up the great work,

  2. Looks good just 9-3 I would replace with 9X(the one that from the looks could be exelent next generation of Viggen2,with some crazy animal under the hood )

  3. Just found your blog yesterday and have really enjoyed it.

I was going to comment on the Saab Font page. I was trying to see if I had Gill Sans (which I do) so looked at the test image. However, because the graphic for how the font should display had pretty bad anti-aliasing (and the heading looked great because I had Gill Sans installed) I misread the instructions and thought that the image was the text and vice-versa.

It took someone else to point out that the font was displaying correctly and the test image was all blocky.

If you do end up adding this page back, I would suggest getting a clean anti-aliased image and put text next to a clearly marked test image so people can more readily identify which is which.

  4. In firefox it has some problems with the display of the page but it works fine in opera and ie. My first thought was that the page looks a little too bright for my eyes but it is probably something I’ll get used too and becouse I loved your site so much in the past 🙂
But the essential thing of every quality driven site is its content and in that respect you, my friend, had done a tremendous job in the past and I hope you will continue to do so.
so here’s my final word, great work 🙂

  5. Swade, both my home PC (1280×1076) and laptop (1076×768) and office PC (1280×1076) shows a lot of white space on upper right corner of new homepage. I have to scroll down 1/3 the page before seeing INTRODUCTION section. Also, all the smaller frames that should be on the right column of page are now oriented in a zig-zag fashion vertically down the page and closer to the horizontal middle of page, I believe this is not intended by you.

Given that all three of my PCs now display TrollhattanSaab in a juxtaposed format, I suspect there may be others experiencing the same views. I’m sure you are working on a fix as we speak 🙂
