Autobild Drive the Aero-X

It was noisy. It shook a bit. But it didn’t matter – the raw noise reverberating through the thin carbonfibre just had them feeling more like pilots than drivers. The chance to drive the Aero-X left Autobild’s people smiling and wanting just a little more.

Autobild were fortunate enough to be hanging out with the Aero-X. Looks like it might have been the same day as Robert Collin from Aftonbladet. If you read German then the story is here. Even if you don’t it’s worth clicking through as they have a fantastic gallery of photos from the day (32 photos in all), a sample of which is below.

Interestingly, they mention a few of the styling cues and features that we’re likely to see in future model developments – the nose, LED illumination, the tail and yes……(cover your eyes, Eggs)…..those turbofan wheels.

  1. What I would give for a chance to drive that beast and beauty. Oh how I hate all
that got the chance to drive it. 🙂

  2. Ich auch!!

Oy, the turbine wheels soldier on. I’m going to have to get used to it, I guess. The price of progress!!

  3. The Autobild photos get real interesting starting at #25 photo of a Saab 92. But what really surprised me was #31 of a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair concept which had the raising canopy. Also # 32 had a raising canopy.
However, I don’t think too many were saying “Please build it!” for the 1958 GM Firebird III (Photo #30).
