SCCA event photos

Photos are finally available from the Saab Car Club of Australia event held last weekend at Motors Saab here in Hobart.

Click here to view them all. Here’s a quick sample. Click on any of them to enlarge.

The hordes of people aren’t actually evident in these, but we did have a very pleasing number turn up. Bear in mind when you see the showroom it’s normally full of Holdens with a few Saabs tucked in the corner. This lineup of vehicles made for a much more aesthetically pleasing experience.

Big thanks to Ben for getting the photos up (that’s his red 900 in there).

  1. I must disagree Al. If you look at the group photo the white 99T is centre stage, with all other cars paying homage. All that is missing is the white car’s twin.

  2. Great photos, Ben. From one C900 man to another: we know which car was the best in the room. (Again, Saab USA, you cheated us on the one-color-fits-all trim!)

Swade: I’ll take it that you’re the one at the podium? Identity revealed!

  3. Swade, I am absolutely blown away by the organization and profile of this event. One will think that this is somewhere in Europe or another country where there is plenty more presence from Saab. You are a true inspirational Saab ambassador and one that deserves official recognition form Saab themselves. We are very proud of you and to have such a dedicated follower with some much loyalty. I hope I meet you one day and buy you a few drinks and dinner.

  4. Joe, you’re too kind. We were very happy with how things went though, no arguments there.

And I haven’t had time to email Ben about it personally, but these are indeed some top notch photos. Fantastic stuff.

  5. Swade’s Viggen aside the Saab flags probably was no accident on his part, knowing I’d come along and go “oooh” and spend 10 minutes trying to frame it all in. Thank heavens for the 10-22mm lens.

Bravo Steve for the night – went wonderfully well with what I swear is the biggest turnout we’ve had in quite a while.
