9-5 Anniversary sighting

UPDATE – Thanks Tobias: big, clear photo at iSaab.net

————————-

Here’s a couple of photos of what we think might be the Anniversary edition of the 9-5 to be released soon. Note the “production notes” in the rear side window. The green plates are apparently standard Sewdish issue for a vehicle with temporary registration/insurance.

In other news from Trollhattan….

……the 9-3 XWD (4 wheel drive) will be launched in the summer of 2007 and be available in the 3rd quarter of the year. Saab is also launching something they’re calling Black Turbo, but I don’t know what it is.

The Caddie BLS will be launched as a Wagon variant during the 2nd quarter next year and last but not least the 9-3 1.8t biopower will be available from the 1st quarter of 2007.

And of course the facelift of the 9-3 will be launched and out for sale during the summer of 2007.

And now you’re up to date.

I’ll let the Djup Strupe remain nameless, but needless to say my lasting thanks go out to you.

  2. “last but not least the 9-3 1.8t biopower will be available from the 1st quarter of 2007”

This would be the first Ecotec biopower application, as opposed to the 9-5 which uses the iron block B20xx engine.

  3. Here’s to hoping “Black Turbo” is the secret project name for a small convertible roadster!

As for the Anniversary edition 9-5: it’s still boring. The replacement can’t come soon enough!

Lastly regarding the BLS wagon: who was thinking, “jeez, the BLS sedan has been a HUGE flop. I got it! Let’s make a wagon version. Surely an overpriced Cadillac wagon will sell well in Europe!”???
