Hungarian Saab 900 event

I just got these in from Ivan in Hungary, where the Hungarian Saab 900 club gathered at Ikea (where else?) for a drive to a small city called Tata for a bite of lunch and some truly beautiful scenery.

I like to think that I live in a Saab town, however small it is, but I tip my hat to the Hungarian Saabisti as they put on a heck of a show for anyone following the convoy. There’s no way I’d imagine us getting this many people together for an event. As a matter of fact, I’d challenge any Saab Club meet in Oz to attract 35 vehicles, like they got to this 900 meet.

Having said that, it looks like a few 9000’s snuck in for the ride, too.

The full photo collection is here, but there’s a selection below. Click on any of them to enlarge.

  1. Swade, thanks for publishing the meeting. 🙂
Actually, the Hungarian Saab900 Club was founded by C900 owners, but it’s open for any Saabs. There are many 9000, NG900, 9-3, 9-5 owners in the club, even we have some 9-3SS.
At the meeting there was a 9-3SC too, with Salomon options. 🙂
I think, the driver was the employee of the Hungarian Saab headquarter.

  2. Hi Sabbists.
Anybody have the home telephone number, post address and email for ‘The V4 Store’, previously known as ‘Highgate Saab Parts’ in the English midlands.
Emails to mel or info highgatesaab go unanswered.
    Thanks
    Ian
