Fix Your Own 9-3

If I had a dollar for the number of Haynes workshop manuals that I’ve spotted in people’s garages over the years……well……I wouldn’t be a gazillionaire, but I’d be much better off than I am now.

I’ve owned a couple of them myself, for the 99T and 900.

I don’t have one for the Viggen though, as one doesn’t exist. I’m going to presume for the moment that that hasn’t changed, but non-Viggen 9-3 owners may be interested in the following:

Haynes has finally written a workshop manual for the 1998-2002 Saab 9-3. It covers petrol and diesel models from that time. The manual will be printed in March 2007 and TS supporters, Elkparts, have an order in for a large shipment of this keenly anticipated manual.

John at Elkparts is taking advance orders for the Haynes 9-3 workshop manual now, so click on over if you’re interested and start tinkering. There’s no charge made to your card on the pre-order. You’re only charged when the order is dispatched.

And for those of you that are interested, Autoblog also have a short piece on their favourite handy toolkit upgrades.

Interesting stuff.
