I covered the announcement of Saab’s sponsorship of the German art festival, documenta, back in December. documenta began in 1955 and is held every five years under a different directorship on each occasion. And yes, the lack of a capital ‘d’ is quite deliberate, dah-ling. It’s art!
The festival runs from June 16 through to 23 September.
Today, documenta organisers received their fleet of five Saabs, with the Artistic Leader getting a white 9-3 Convertible to show off his artiness.
“true Coolness comes from the inside; outside my car shows the formal elegance and ease of a white cloud.”
Now that is truly arty.
The rest of the fleet comprises four Saab 9-5 BioPower SportCombis. Saab Germany’s Willi Fey:
“with our individual sporty and pollution free cars the documenta team can go now on the goal straight lines for the opening of the exhibition of this year. With the salient documenta Logo decorated, the models will pull many to view on itself.”
OK, I’m sure he didn’t really say it like that, but that’s Babelfish translations for you.
