February Sales Snippets

A few sales numbers from smaller markets…

—–

Saab Australia sold an extra 17 vehicles in February 2007. Saab had moved 96 units in Australia for each of the last two years, but sold 113 units in Feb this year to bring its sales total to 272 for year to date, exactly in line with 2006.

Hopefully that increase is partially due to the introduction of the new diesel range here in Australia, which I drove in January and was very impressed with.

In contrast, Saab Canada took its cue from the United States and fell 25% in February, moving just 113 units in comparison with 2006’s 137 units.

Saab Canada’s YTD figures are basically steady, with 229 vehicles sold this year compared to 239 for Jan-Feb in 2006.

Unfortunately I’m still waiting for stats from the UK market.

Speaking of sales – anyone know what Hirsch’s best selling item is? Answer after the enlargeable image.

It’s the 1.9 TiD ECU upgrade for the 9-5 and 9-3 that increases the car’s output to 175hp and 370Nm of torque.

  1. Jeez, Swade! You screwed-up sales in Canada too, but somehow didn’t in your home country of Australia? Don’t Aussies care about the AWD and 2008 refresh!?!? 😉

I guess we’ll find out soon if Britons read TS!
