Leading up to Saab Festival….

Things are slowing down here on the blog as I enter my last week before heading off to Sweden for the Saab Festival.

I have to learn a new video editing program, just in case I have to use it on my Windows based laptop. I’m trying to arrange hire of a Macbook while I’m over there, but it’s not guaranteed at the moment. On top of all that I have a lot of pre-production stuff to organise for the videos I’d like to do whilst I’m in Trollhattan.

I’ve also got a bunch of work stuff to take care of before I leave the office for a few weeks.

Then there’s the family……and on top of all that I’ve been working on a new template for the site and will hopefully be changing servers at the end of the month.

As a result, things are a likely to be a bit slower from my end. I’ve posting around 5-7 items a day for the last few months and this will likely slow down to 2-3 per day as I gear up for the trip.

Eggs n Grits and 1985Gripen – your logins are still active so feel free to whip something up if you’re of a mind to do so.

Speaking of re-doing one’s website: anyone else checked out Autoblog’s new fascia?

Very good. And they’ve hooked up with Dodge to giveaway a brand new Dodge Nitro to celebrate – that’s the biggest giveaway I’ve ever seen on a blog.

If Saab want to give away a car here I’m more than happy to help!!

And as if I didn’t already have enough to deal with, I just spotted a spam email trying to sell me Bar-B-Q tools.

  1. Swade, let me know if you need some help and ideas for the new skin. After doing SaabClub.ca with Dmitry, I feel pretty Saab-savvy. 🙂

  2. Swade, you’ve got a lot of good resources and friends around the world on this ‘blog. I would suggest you try and ask for help and mete out some work for others to help with.

For example, you mention trying to rent a Macbook in Sweden. Maybe one of your Swedish regulars can do the legwork on this so that you can work on other stuff to ready for your trip…

  3. I would add, Swade, that the Saab community can live with 2-3 posts a day. Or even less. There are many topical blogs that thrive on 1-2 posts a day.

Enjoy yourself in Sweden, and don’t work so hard documenting the trip that it turns into work and not play.

  4. Hmm… I’ll be a little on the busy side this week, but I’ll give it a whirl.

And, about the Dodge Nitro giveaway, that’s going on at every Chrysler or Dodge dealer in the country right now, so no big deal!
