May 2007 site stats

It’s June 1st here in Australia, which means that Saab sales data for May is due very soon. It also means that it’s time to take a quick look at the site stats for the month.

I’ve been putting these up this year as a reminder to Saab that there’s a lot of interest in the “new media” and that Saab have a strong presence amongst it all. It’s a genuine growth area that they should be taking notice of.

May 2007 was a bumper month and I’m not sure that it’ll be eclipsed for the rest of the year, but I guess one can always hope.

Here’s the graph:

May 2007 saw an average of 10,053 pages loaded per day, to a daily average of 6,020 unique visitors.

This represents a pretty decent increase over previous months and was largely fuelled by imagery of, and interest in, the MY2008 Saab 9-3. I think that’ll quieten down a little once the car is out there.

Onwards and upwards!

  1. Well, with unstable gas prices here in the United States it will be interesting to see the May sales data. Most of us “consumers” have been sitting on the sideline waiting for the Memorial Day holiday weekend to pass and (fuel) prices have been dropping for the most part. However, if someone breathes the word ‘Hurricane’ in the Gulf, and gas prices could shoot well over $4.00 a gallon….

As someone who is considering a 2007 SportCombi I am hoping that GM resurrects some more of its aggressive rebates on the vehicle to make room for the redesigned 2008 model and get some of those 2007 vehicles off the dealer lot and on the road. Sweeten that with some 0% financing and that could seal the deal for me. Guess we will find out over the next few days and find out what the “General” does to move some iron this summer.

  2. would it mean that the my’08, 9-3 is a flop [banish the thought] if next month’s blogstats don’t eclipse may’s? hmm.

  3. The blog must be popular – when i goggle ‘trollhattan’ the first site on the list is!
