It’s third-hand now, but this may be of interest to visitors residing in the UK. It’s posted on the UKSaabs bulletin board but hasn’t received a response yet (not one that’s recorded on the board, at least).
I’m a freelance writer for Practical Classics magazine and I’ve been commissioned to write a feature on open-top motoring throughout the ages, from the Forties to the Eighties. To that end, I’m hoping to find a Saab 900 Convertible for a photo shoot before the beginning of July down in Littlehampton, West Sussex, (in between Worthing and Portsmouth.) I was wondering if one of your club members in the West Sussex or East Hampshire area might be happy to bring his/her 900 Convertible along, during a week day, for an early start (to avoid the holiday-makers) for the shoot.
The magazine is happy to reimburse the owner for his/her expenses incurred on the day, he/she will get a free magazine, and I’m happy to buy light refreshments should the opportunity arise.
Are you able to help out? I’ve also sent this e-mail to the 900 Registrar and the Membership Secretary.
I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks in anticipation.

So if you want to make your ‘Vert famous – here’s your chance. A Saab 900 convertible should definitely be part of any serious discussion on open top motoring through the ages, so go represent!
If it gets published, please let me know so that I can let people know about it.
