Saab motorsport news

Per Eklund raced in the European Rallycross championship two weekends ago and whilst he’s been getting through to A-finals in the last few meets, this round of the championship proved to be an exception.

Per was actually black-flagged in the B-final, and this image will probably give you a good idea as to why:

Always best to try and avoid mounting another vehicle during the course of the race!

Mike Jager has all the details.

JL Racing will be in action this coming weekend in Toronto.

JL Racing will be the first team to race a Saab 9-3 at the famous Toronto Grand Prix this coming weekend. A hectic week has been planned with the Saab 9-3 race car at many events before and during the race weekend. If you are in Toronto and plan on coming to see the car on the track, here is a quick schedule of events:

FRI JULY 6: 5:45 PM Practice Session
SAT JULY 7: 8:50 AM Qualifying Session
SAT JULY 7: 5:45 PM Race One
SUN JULY 8: 8:30 AM Warm Up Session
SUN JULY 8: 3:30 PM Race Two

You can find the team in the Castrol Canadian Touring Car area.

I know there’s a few canucks that drop in here, so if you’re in the area (it’s a small country. after all) then drop in and tell ’em Swade said Hi.

Swede Team Motor raced mid-June but I didn’t check up on the result, something I’ll do in the next few days.

My apologies.

With regards to STM, Bo Lindman did one of the presentations at the Saab Festival. It was on Saab’s history in tarmac racing and it was without doubt one of the best presentations of the festival. I have limited video of it (tape ran out) but I’ll try and post it soon.
