Those little Saab 9-3 LEDs

I’m expecting some bigger pics later on, but I just got 63 little pics through from 1985Gripen at the SOC in Detroit.

The dinner was held last night and it included the unveiling of the 2008 Saab 9-3. Steve Shannon spoke, though i’m not sure what his address included at this point, and the cars were there for all and sundry to see.

One thing I was pleased to see in the photos was the operation of those three little LEDs at the end of the daylight running strip. I saw a lot of 2008 model 9-3’s in Sweden and never saw these LEDs in operation – not even once.

Here they are. A small photo only, but you should get the picture.

As I said, more to come later on.

  2. swade,

This is the first picture I’ve seen with those little red lights. Not quite sure what they could be. I’ve checked the SAAB USA microsite and the hard copy US brochure — I don’t see a single mention.

  3. I’m guessing it’s for the American law where i beleive all cars have an orange light showing on the front corners.

  4. led s are good. very individual look. the orange lights was in the bumper on the us models before… in the european cars the spot is empty.
