Saab 9-3 renovation – part 2

OK, time for the rest of the photos from Paul’s 9-3 restoration.

We got a first look when the car was stripped back in part 1. We had a hint of the finished product in yesterday’s entry. Today’s it time for the full bug.

FYI – the paint finish used on the car is a metal flake system originating in the US. Paul used 400 micron silver flake for the main color (Aston Martin silver), and 200 micron blue metal flake for the blue stripe.

In addition to the body and paint mods that have already been done, Paul’s got more plans for the car. Like a power increase from the standard 150hp to around 200, accompanying cooling and breathing mods as well as a new leather interior. All as time and money permit, of course.

A few more pics here, and a few more after the jump. Again, it’s a job very well executed – congratulations, Paul, and thanks for sharing them.

  2. Ditto on the brilliant details (plate/3rd light)!!! Was that brake light a custom diy job or
    an on-line order?
Love to hear about the power mods! After that – how this Saab makes haggis out of
    the competition!

  3. ………anyone interested in the third brake light, thery can be found on eBay ( uk )….reasonably priced and fits in seconds….
