The interviews just keep on coming! Two days ago I interviewed Steve Shannon, the General Manager of SaabUSA.
Six days ago I did a quick interview with Saab’s global chief, Jan-Ake Jonsson. Jan-Ake was in Melbourne for the Australian launch of the 2008 Saab 9-3 and at the end of a very long test drive he agreed to sit down with me and record this interview.
I recorded it on video but have loaded up the soundtrack only. Halfway through I lost my train of thought completely (it really was a long day and as much as I wanted to do this interview, I was totally unprepared for it), so we both stood to shake hands. I then remembered my next few questions and we carried on, standing up in some office in the GM building in Melbourne – and all you could see on film was my rather rotund gut filling most of the lens.
You should thank me for making this sound only.
We cover a few different topics, including the Swedish market and BioPower, the Hirsch questions once again, and a few other bits and pieces.
The transmission lasts just over 13 minutes. I hope you find it worthwhile.
Thanks very much to Jan-Ake for agreeing to do this. It’s a rare opportunity and whilst there was no huge breaking news (well, the all-BioPower thing in Sweden was pretty interesting) I think it was a really generous thing to do. Did I mention it was a long day?
