Saab Pride – Aussie Style!

It’s time for another entry in the Saab Pride of Ownership competition, brought to you by Trollhattan Saab and the good people at Elkparts. I’d buy my groceries there if I could 8)

There’s some great prizes to be won and entries close December 31st.

Tony R’s story was documented here back in early December, and whilst it ended happily with a new 2008 Saab 9-3, it was a more arduous journey than it should have been.

My 2008 SAAB 9.3 Vector is a ‘factory order’ (because I wanted a manual) and was delivered on 17 Nov 07 after a 6.5 month wait. The car has standard Vector features plus:

    2.0T motor
    Snow silver metallic paint
    Sports Chassis
    Bi-Xenon lights
    Rear parking sensors
Premium natural black leather sports seats
    Bluetooth integrated phone

This being my first SAAB, I’m now a very happy and content SAAB convert who owns a premium product that is different but distinctive. The car is a delight to drive and sits very well at home or on the road.

I though I might share my car and work offices. Both are performance oriented, demanding, distinctive and rewarding – who says you can’t have the best of both worlds?

The helicopter is a Eurocopter AS 350BA Squirrel and is used by the Royal Australian Navy for pilot, observer and aircrewman training.

That is definitely the smartest looking car in the neighborhood!

  1. Ah, nice to remind me to write another mail the “good people at Elkparts” why I got no reply on my questions about one part that failed…

  2. Nice pic!
My fathers company got three choppers looking like that, one AS 350 B1 and two B3:s.
Never thought of taking a pic like that! God anyhow.

  3. That’s so sweet. I love helicopters. Ever since I was a kid and saw Blue Thunder I’ve been a fan. The car looks right at home next to the helicopter too, but I would hazard a guess that a ride in the Saab is far safer than a ride in the Eurocopter! 😉

  4. I’ve been doing a lot of house work repairs and house keeping activities lately. Hence my silence. What a nice looking car Tony, it seems that despite the wait and all the messing around you are a happy customer after all. I have a very good friend close by in Sydney that would be in pain watching your pictures. He’s also waiting for his. Anyway, we’ll hear from him soon once his car is delivered.
