Do you know where I’ve been today?

Here are a couple of hints…..

The anoraks will be able to tell from the trophy picture alone.

UPDATE – the correct guess has been made in comments. For those who haven’t seen the answer yet, keep guessing. A bigger hint is after the jump…..

The images above were from a place I visited this afternoon.

Here’s where I am right now:

Yes, I’m back in Trollhattan!!

I had to leave Trollhattan in early November last year, when Saab were still operating. Consequently, I have some things here that I hadn’t packed up, and a whole office full of people I hadn’t said goodbye to. I’m back to visit with a lot of friends and clear up my stuff. I’m sure it’ll be a bit of an emotional time, but a good time nonetheless.

And for those who haven’t seen the answer in comments, the first two photos were taken at Polestar, a Swedish racing team with growing official connections with Volvo. One of my friends from Saab is now working for Polestar and I had a wonderful visit with them this afternoon.

  1. You do realise your FB page reads “Do you know I’ve been today”

No I didn’t and I think your sharing too much personal info in this title?

    1. Yeah. Left a word out of the headline when I first pressed ‘Publish’. 35+ hours of travel – I’m entitled to a bloo here or there…..

  2. Enjoy your time back in Trollhattan, Swade! I know the circumstances are not what you would like, but the time spent with friends is important.

(And when I read you were back in Trollhattan, I held out a brief glimmer of hope that you were there as an agent of some rich investor who was having you bid on the Saab Museum collection to keep it intact.)

  3. Welcome back to Sweden. Today is the press conference. I’m hoping for some good news. Imagine a restart 🙂 Imagine you getting your job back with a 5 b sek r&d fund in the company :O !
